Psoriasis and Dr. Michaels

All products carry the name of the Australian researcher Dr. Michael Tirant. His team used only natural products in order to develop the effective psoriasis product line. These products are considered cosmetic products therefore they can be bought in any pharmacy without a medical prescription.

Effectiveness and the methods of use

The tests conducted, so far have shown that Dr. Michaels products have great influence on mild up to severe forms of psoriasis.

*In the newest studies of effectiveness of Dr. Michaels mainly natural products not containing corticoids the Czech dermatologists have proven the great results of their colleagues from foreign countries. Majority of the latest tests took place during the first half of the year 2008 and Prof. František Novotný was monitoring his patients with psoriasis in the years 2005 - 2008. And these are the conditions of patients after the 8 day treatment:

Chronic psoriasis

Dr. Michaels products have high effectiveness with chronic forms, which is the case of 95 % patients. For acute exacerbation, that means for newly occurred symptoms Dr. Michaels products are not suitable. It is rather better to wait after the acute condition of the patient calm down and then apply the products.

In order to achieve the best results it is highly recommended to avoid alcohol, smoking, stress and to protect yourself against cold. This can help the healing process of your skin. All these factors could in fact work against the healing effects of these products (which does not have to be the rule, however, doctors recommend to avoid them).

Permanent effect and minimum recurrence

The remission period, which is the time before the disease comes back (psoriasis cannot be permanently cured – it is genetically conditioned) is after the application of Dr. Michaels products much longer in comparison with other medicine – patients remain without the symptoms on average up to one year. Plus, the area of affected skin in case of acute recurrence of the disease is only up to 25% of the previous skin area prior to the therapy.

Methods of use

Scalp and Body Cleansing Gel
Apply the gel to wet scalp and body as with any other cleansing gel. Leave in for about 10 minutes. Afterwards wash off with water (without using a sponge or a washing cloth) and dry.

Scalp and Body Ointment
Apply to dry skin only to psoriasis affected areas. Massage into skin well.

Scalp and Body Skin Conditioner
Wait for about 3-5 minutes after the application of the Ointment and then apply the Skin Conditioner. Use a thin layer.

- repeat this process twice a day, morning and evening, also use on psoriasis areas in the scalp (here just use the Cleansing Gel in the morning, which you should be using instead of the shower gel, shampoo or soap during the treatment). The use of all three products will positively influence the skin areas affected by psoriasis and will guarantee a long time period without recurrence.

Negative side effects

At the beginning of the treatment you can experience some side effects as itching or burning of skin. However, they usually persist for just a few days. We recommend to all the patients not to get driven away by those effects and continue with the treatment through these few days. It will pay off at the end. The products do not contain any noxious agents, corticosteroids or cortisone. They contain only plant extracts and oils. And unlike majority of other ointments they smell nice. We wish you good luck!
